Grandpa has gone home.

Kyle called last night and said that grandpa had passed on at about midnight. He took his last breath surrounded by his family and loved ones. It is sad for us but also it is a time of rejoicing. Gerry Sinn has passed on to be with his Creator forever in a place of rest. He will no longer experience the pain, sorrows, and heartaches of this life.

His grand-children remember him as a kind and gentle man who always loved his grand-children. Kyle and Rich always had to challenge him to a wrestling match. As younger grandchildren none of us will forget him showing us his false teeth and talking with them partially out or completely out. The memory that I am sure we all have that is precious to me and I will miss the most is the one of when we left grandma and grandpas house, grandma and grandpa would stand on the steps of their house waving goodbye. A week ago Teusday I got to see that picture again for the final time. That was the hardest thing, driving away knowing that in this lifetime I would not see him again.

Naomi has been praying for Grandpa for the past several weeks, her prayer is as follows. "Dear God, please help grandpa to feel better and to fly up into heaven to be with Jesus, and help me to someday fly up there to be with him." The first part of her prayer has been answered. I hope that we all can pray the second part of her prayer.

Please share your memories of Grandpa and Grandma.

My Family With Grandpa

My Family With Grandpa
Originally uploaded by Minchanian.
This may have been the last time we will have seen grandpa here on this earth. Grandpa has recently come back to God and now has the hope of eternity. Our short time with him was precious and meaningful. We had a small devotion about the hope that we have in resurection because of Christ. Grandpa expressed his thankfullness to God for allowing him to have such a large extended family that is devoted to God. I pray that we will all stay on that path and do our best to be pleasing to God.

Visiting Grandpa

Michelle, Naomi and I along with Kaleb and Rosanna are here visiting Grandpa. It is kind of hard because he is only coherent for short periods of time. Naomi has a hard time thinking about someone leaving and going to heaven. She told grandpa that she had a grandpa that was dying and going to heaven. She said that someday she would grow old and get sick then she would come and see him. She said she would get wings and fly to heaven. It is difficult and we will miss him greatly but we are forever grateful that we WILL see him again.
